Racing Against the Sunset(Jan.29.2011)
Author: Minhngoc Do (Tina) This week had been seriously hectic. I felt like it had been a month…I’m so glad it’s the weekend. O__O All week I was filming Privilege for the TXU film contest. Working everyday with little sleep and so much school work adding on to it, I finally finished and submitted it already. I’m glad I’m still alive LOL. I won’t be uploading on Youtube yet until the Dallas Film Festival is over because I don’t want to risk being disqualify. I realize, that for my last contest where I entered Hesitant in, I didn’t submit any paperwork and I also post it on youtube right away too. I just don’t want to risk it. Sorry. However, the contest panel will be open on February 7th, 2011. So if you guys want to watch it, go to the TXU website and you could watch and vote for us xD I’ll post up a link sometime next week. Anyway, we went filming for Wishing Star yesterday (on Friday), I’m really glad that we can stay on schedule for filming. At this rate, there is hope that we will be done filming by the middle of March and hopefully Wishing Star will be release something in the beginning of April. That is only a maybe though, we still don’t know what might come up….like I twist my ankle again today….yea the same ankle that is just almost heal =(. I’m fine though…I didn’t twist it that bad…I don’t think. Ok so back to about filming yesterday lol. It was fun, filming days are always fun. LOL. Ken and I went to Plano West Senior High to pick up Angel and film there for a bit. I swear Lee and Angel seriously don’t know how to bump into each other, we took 20 min to get one shot right haha. It was funny to watch. But then we were like 30 min late in meeting with Corey at the Dart Station to film. When we got there, even though Corey said he just got there too but I still feel really bad =(. This scene is a challenge though. We got there at almost 6pm and the sun is setting….first time I realize how fast the sky can turn dark. Its scary. The shot turn out great though, I really like the setting and acting and everything. One thing I just hope is that the light at the Dart Station was bright enough to show the actual video. It seem fine on my camera but I haven’t check it on the computer yet so yea. So here is my advice to myself….film earlier in the day o__O don’t try to film in the transition between light and dark. Worse idea ever. LOL I really hope I can make Wishing Star perfect and I mean the editing. LOL personally in a view of the writer/director/editor, I really like just the raw scenes so far. And honestly I myself am excited for it to come out and that I can watch it too lol how weird is that? I’m so weird, I’m sorry haha. And I have horrible grammar, I apologize for this whole long paragraph of horrible English, guys LOL I should have let Ima check it over before I post it but oh well she is too busy sleeping. Such a sleepyhead haha jk. She is gonna murder me if she see this, which probably will be very soon. Haha |
